Junior volleyball player
Hannah Herndon hit a noteworthy landmark barely halfway through her college career, as she recorded her 1000th kill early in her junior year against Missouri S&T early in the 2011 volleyball season.
Herndon's eclipsing the 1000 kills mark is our #9 story of 2011-2012.
By the end of her third season, Herndon had 1337 killls and was the go-to player in the Cardinal offense. She also excelled as a back row player and server, with 25 aces on the year. She was a two-time NAIA all-conference and all-region player as well as an NAIA All-American as a sophomore. Herndon was named to the All-GLVC second team last year as the Cardinals made the move to the NCAA.
The Cardinals finished 16-15 (7-11 in the GLVC).
