The 1967 football team, coached by Dr. Norris Patterson, was the first and only football team in Jewell history to go undefeated with a final record of 10-0-1. They were the only undefeated college team in Missouri or Kansas during that season and completed the year with a 14-14 tie versus Doane College of Nebraska in the Mineral Water Bowl held in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
