Considered Jewell’s finest swim team this Cardinal squad, coached by Larry Hamilton, was undefeated in dual meets (12-0) and set 13 school records. In the prestigious Washington University meet they won eight of 17 events, setting nine school records, five meet records and three pool records.
Team Members: Mike Adams, Bill Bowman, Kevin Burgler, Ros Burrows, Chris Eaton (’80), Tom Kretsinger, E.J. Leibinger, Ed Leonard, Jerry McCoy, Glen Melia, Rich Miller, Kent Peach, Ken Personett, Bernard Phelan, and Dave Stockard.
