William Jewell College Athletics

Charlie Funk attended Jewell from 1972-76 where he lettered in basketball. He was one of the greatest shooters in program history and was named to the First Team All Conference three times and was twice selected First Team All-District selection, including a unanimous choice as a senior. Funk holds numerous school scoring records, including graduating as the career scoring leader with 2,077 points. He was also named Jewell’s Athlete of the Year as a senior.
