This St. Louis native was a four year letterwinner who is remembered as a fierce blocker and punishing runner for the football Cardinals. Scoop was a two-time All-Heart of America Conference selection and a two-time second team All-District selection. He is one of Jewell’s career rushing leaders and played on teams which compiled a four year record of 41-6-2 including three HAAC titles. He was a member of Jewell’s 1982 squad which finished second in the nation and followed his collegiate career with the Cardinals by playing in the NFL with the Pittsburg Steelers in 1984.
