Jill (Esely) Durnin is one of the finest basketball players in the history of Cardinal hoops graduating as the program's all-time leading scorer with 2,163 points. She also holds school records for highest scoring average in a single season (20.6) and is in the top ten for assists. She was the leader of Jewell’s first women’s team (any sport) to participate in a National Tournament in 2002. Eseley was the HAAC’s Freshman of the Year and a four-time First Team HAAC All-Conference selection. She was a two-time NAIA-II All-American
Her uncle, Tom Dunn '70, is also a member of William Jewell’s Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the induction class of 1995.
