Jill Slominski served as an assistant at Jewell from 1993 until December 1995 when she became the interim head coach at Ottawa University. She returned to Jewell in the fall of 1996 as the head coach and has led the Cardinals to unprecedented success accumulating a record of 355-207 over her 17-years at the time of induction. Nine of her teams have won 20 or more games, four have won 25 or more and her 2004-05 squad set the school record with 28 wins. She has been named Heart of America Coach of the Year three times and has guided Cardinal teams to three HAAC titles and seven appearances in the NAIA National Tournament. She has coached eight All-Americans and sixteen Academic All-Americans.
