Mike Stockton was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in October 2018. At the time of his induction he had completed 17 seasons at the helm of the Jewell baseball program, amassing an overall record of 550-367, making him the second winningest coach in program history. During his career he has led the Cardinals to five regular season conference championships, five tournament titles, and eight region tournament appearances. He also led Jewell to a trip to the NAIA World Series in 2004, and the NCAA-II regional in 2015, becoming the first men's team to make the national tournament since the move to Division II. He has earned 10 Coach of the Year honors and was inducted into the Ottawa University Hall of Fame in the fall of 2017 for his accomplishments as a player.
