Shane Davolt is among an exclusive club of the greatest quarterbacks in the Cardinal football program. During his career he was a two-time Heart of America Conference Offensive Player of the Year, helping the Cardinals to conference championships in 1990 and 1991. He graduated as the program's leader in career touchdowns, passing touchdowns and passing yards and set the NAIA national record for yards gained per completion. He was named the recipient of the Cecil Martin Award for Men's Athlete of the Year as a senior in 1992-93.
