Nebraska Weselyan Box Score

The William Jewell College men's tennis team hit the road again and defeated both the Dutch of Central College and the Prairie Wolves of Nebraska Wesleyan in Lincoln, Neb., on Saturday. 

In the first match of the day Jewell doubles swept Central 3-0 with wins by scores of 8-4,  8-4 and 8-5.

In singles play Max Cooper  and Eric Dailey earned dominating wins at number 4 and number 5 singles respectively.   Jewell battled at the rest of the singles spots for the 9-0 sweep. 

The Jewell men then defeated Nebraska Wesleyan 7-2.  The Cards came out of doubles up 2-1 with the only loss occurring at number one doubles in a tightly contested 8-6 match.   Bryan Thomas and Bronson Brassel earned impressive wins at number 2 and number 3 singles while Max Cooper came back from a 1-4 first set deficit to win 6-4, 6-0. 

The Cardinals, 3-0 on the year, will participate in the St. Joseph's College Invitational in Michigan City, Ind., on February 25 and 26.
