William Jewell College sophomore Loree Hazelrigg has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday. 

Hazelrigg, a native of St. Joseph, Mo., helped lead the Cards to a 3-1 week in Hilton Head, S.C.  She currently stands at 10-1 on the spring in singles play at No. 5 singles and is a perfect 11-0 in doubles play with her twin sister Conner at No. 2 doubles.  In the match against No. 35 ranked Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Loree and Conner were the only ones to score a point for the Cardinals in the dual with their win at No. 2 doubles.  Hazelrigg becomes the first ever Cardinal to earn GLVC Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors. 

The Cardinals (9-2) return to the courts at 12:00 p.m., on March 27 at Clayview Country Club against Rockhurst University in their Great Lakes Valley Conference opener.
