Women's Tennis Signs Voyles to NLI

William Jewell women's tennis head coach Paul Worstell announced the signing of Lauren Voyles on Monday.  Voyles hails from Blue Springs, Mo., and is set to graduate from Blue Springs South High School next spring.

"We are so excited to have Lauren join our Cardinal Tennis family," Worstell said. "She is a talented player with an incredible desire to overcome obstacles.  Most importantly, she has impeccable integrity and is a joy to be around. She will be a very positive addition in helping solidify our culture of excellence."

Voyles is a two time district semi-finalist and reached the doubles final in 2014 with the Jaguars.  She accomplished the honor this season while playing with a cast after suffering a broken wrist.  She has also won several USTA tournaments since joing the USTA four years ago.

Off the court, Voyles is a member of the Principle's Honor Roll, National Honor Society, Vice President of DECA Student Marketing Association, and is the Community Service director for Future Business Leaders of America.  Voyles is also a very talented singer and has participated in several singing competitions and talent shows such as The Voice.

The Cardinals will kick off their spring season on Saturday, January 24, 2015 in an exhibition contest against University of Missouri-Kansas City.
