SMITHVILLE, Mo. - The William Jewell men's golf team hosted the second annual Kansas City Cup on Monday and Tuesday at Paradise Pointe-Outlaw, where the Cardinals finished fifth overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Martin Stegberg led the Cardinals with a top-15 finish after shooting 79-78 over the two-day event. 
• Brenden Day followed in a tie for 24th overall with back-to-back scores of 80 while Stephen Radley was 28th, shooting 80 and 81. 
• Fredrik Hersley, Mitchell Elsnes and Scotty Jolly all finished in the top 30 while Dawson Roberts, Isaac McCullough and Jaxon McFarland shot 173, 176 and 178 respectively. Logan Wiske rounded out the group with a 92 and 94.
