NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Playing in their final tune up before the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship, the William Jewell men's golf team put together the best 18-hole round in the NCAA era with a team score of 289, besting the previous mark, set in 2013, by nine strokes. With a 314 on day two, the Cardinals posted a 603 two-round score, fifth best in the NCAA era, to finish 11th.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Fredrik Hersley and Aiden Sanders came out of the gates on fire on Monday, posting career best marks of 69 and 68, respectively. Sanders' 68 is second best 18-hole round by a Cardinal in the NCAA era, and only one stroke off the record, set by Mitch Jacobi in 2014. Meanwhile, Hersley's 69 is tied for third in the NCAA era. On day two, Hersley posted a 77 to tie for 27th while Sanders shot 79 to tie for 31st.
- Stephen Radley put up a 153 total, including a 74 in the opening round to tie for 57th place while Timmy Hamilton was 62nd with a 157.
- Mitchell Elsnes wrapped up the Cardinal lineup with a 167 while Brenden Day shot a 153, playing as an individual.
