ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The William Jewell men's golf team finished fourth out of 18 teams on Tuesday at the Midwest Regional Preview, hosted by Missouri-St. Louis. The Cardinals shot 899 as a team to tie the NCAA era record team score and hold off fifth place McKendree by two strokes.
THE LINE UP
- Bryson Oots led the charge with a three-round score of 221 to tie for ninth, including a 67 in the middle to tie the single round NCAA era record.
- Scotty Jolly posted a season low round of 73, bookended by 75s to tie for 14th overall with a final score of 223 after a team high nine birdies.
- Carson Lee picked up a 233 to finish 45th while Bennett Berger and Robin Persson each had a score of 236 with the latter have an eagle.
- Evan Highfill also made the trip as an individual and finished with a two-day score of 258.
UP NEXT
Jewell will wrap up the fall season on October 23-24 at the Tulsa Cup, hosted by Rogers State University (Okla.).
