ARLINGTON, Texas - The William Jewell powerlifting teams wrapped up the 2022-2023 season this weekend at the United States Powerlifting Collegiate National Championships.
Freshman
Autum Baughey led the team with a fifth place finish in the women's 44 kilograms weight class to become the first Cardinal in program history to make the podium. On the men's side,
Nick Kurtz placed 15th overall at 60 kg. Meanwhile, Lilly Keizer,
Sonya Zamora,
Destiny Leandro,
Zane Tyree and
Tyler Hartwich also finished in the top-50.
