LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell men's and women's powerlifting teams competed at the State Powerlifting Championship hosted inside of the Mabee Center on Saturday. It was the final home meet for seniors

Calvin Heit. The day also witnessed junior
Tommy Penner meet his Qualifying total for Collegiate Nationals next month in Atlanta.
While Heit only participated in bench, he did so in record-breaking fashion. The Topeka, Kansas native hit all three of his equipped bench press attempts, while breaking the KS State record and setting a new lifetime personal record at 175 kg.
