LIBERTY, Mo – The William Jewell men's soccer team lost in the final minutes against Drury University Friday night. The 2-1 loss sets Jewell back to a 2-9-3 record with a 1-7-3 conference mark.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Both teams put shots up in the first 45 minutes, including two by Zach Nichols and one by Kaleb Fannin headed into halftime, but neither team scored as the first half closed.
• In the 83' minute Fannin found the back of the net to give Jewell a 1-0 lead with under seven minutes left.
• Drury tied the game up in the 87' and then 50 seconds later scored the go-ahead go to down the Cardinals in the final minutes by a score of 2-1.

KEY STATS

• Umberto DiCarlo tallied four saves in his time in goal.
• Nichols took five shots, tied for the most this season by the senior, with two of those being on goal.
• Eliott Labeth and Mathew Drinkhouse also took a shot.
