LIBERTY, Mo. – The William Jewell men's soccer team tied 4-4 in a hard-fought battle against the No. 15 Lincoln Blue Tigers. This tie brings the Cardinals record to 2-10-4 on the season and 1-8-4 in the GLVC.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Lincon's Kanye Francis opened the scoring at the 13' mark.
• Kaleb Fannin tied the game at 1-1 in the 26' , then took the lead for the Cardinals when he found the net again at the 31' mark.
• Caua Nasciemento gave Jewell a two-goal lead at the 39'.
• The Blue Tigers tallied two in a row at 40' and 50' to tie the game at 3-3.
• Jewell's Henry Staebell headed a goal in to bring Jewell into the lead at 73' followed by the Blue Tigers' Adam Griffith five minutes later to tie the game back up at four all to which the game remained at until the end of regulation.

• Umberto DiCarlo lead the game with 8 saves
• Staebell returned to the lineup for the first time in over a month while notching his first goal of the season.
• Fannin scored a career single-game high two goals.

Jewell's next challenge is a home match against the University of Missouri St. Louis on Sunday to wrap up the regular season for Senior Day. The Senior Day ceremony will begin before the start of the men's game.
