LIBERTY, Mo – With under a minute left in the 2025 season, the William Jewell men's soccer team found an exciting way into the net to end the campaign on senior day with a 4-3 win over the UMSL Tritons. Jewell concludes the year at 3-10-4 and a 2-8-4 GLVC record.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Tritons struck first with a goal in the 23'. Jewell's Kaleb Fannin answered back before the half was over with a goal to head into the intermission tied 1-1. 
• Two minutes out of the break senior Henry Staebell scored his second goal in as many games to break the tie. 
• After a penalty in the box, Caua Nascimento connected on the PK to extend the lead to two goals. UMSL rallied back, scoring two goals in the half to set the game in a 3-3 tie with less than 10 minutes left.
• With 48 seconds left Jewell took a short corner kick, when Eliot Labeth pushed the ball up to Nascimento for his second goal of the game that ultimately gave Jewell the 4-3 Senior Day win.

 
KEY STATS

• Umberto DiCarlo had six saves in goal, with multiple shots being saved as he lay on the ground after a prior shot.
• Jean Paul Hernandez and Tristan Barreota, along with eight other seniors got the start on Senior Day.
• A trio of Cardinals had two shots on goal, as the Cardinals were outshot by seven shots in the winning effort.
