ROLLA, Mo. - The William Jewell volleyball team dropped a Great Lakes Valley Conference match up on Saturday afternoon at Missouri S&T, 3-0. The Cardinals fall to 4-19 overall and 0-9 in the GLVC. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• After Missouri S&T broke out to a 10-point advantage early, the Cardinals rallied off six straight points, led by back-to-back aces from Ashlynn Rowland, to pull back within four. Tailing 21-15 late, kills from Macy Bartlett helped get Jewell within three but the Miners won four of the final five points. 
• After a quick 5-1 run by the Cardinals midway through the second frame, Missouri S&T outscored Jewell 8-2 the rest of the way to take the set. 
• The Miners went on a 14-4 run in the third set to roll to the 25-12 win.  

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Caroline Beckmann finished with a team high seven kills while Olivia Starr handing out 25 assists. 
• Rowland had a match high three aces with Madison Roney picking up 10 digs.

Jewell returns home for the final time next weekend as they host Lewis for Senior Day on Friday evening followed by Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon.
