ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The William Jewell men's golf team was the first Cardinal athletic team to compete in regular season competition in the 2025-26 academic year on Tuesday, competing in the Arch Cup hosted by UMSL at the Gateway National Golf Links. Jewell finished in 10
th place at plus 71.
MEN'S LINEUP
- Freshman Ivan Bravo De Laguna Juez competed as an independent for the squad, finishing six-over, good for a tie for nineteenth.
- Cooper Newkirk shot 79 in both of the rounds for a 49th place finish, while Drew Munson's day ended at 52nd.
- Kade Richman posted three birdies between the two rounds for a 55th place finish.
- Carson Thompson concluded the day plus 22, while freshman Jay Choi led the Cardinals with a 76 on the first 18 holes, while falling to 60th in the end.
