Marcus Jones became the first male powerlifter to qualify for the USA Powerlifting Collegiate National Championships on Sunday after finishing first in the 120 kilogram weight class at the Iowa State Championships. A first year member of the sport, Jones put up career best marks in the all categories including 230 kg in squat, 125 kg in bench and 242.5 kg in deadlift for a meet total of 597.6 kg.
