Justen O'Brien broke through on Saturday afternoon to win the men's 400 meter dash at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Championships in Rolla, Mo. with a time of 48.71 in the final. The senior became the first man to win the event for Jewell and the first conference champion on the men's side any outdoor event since Ryan Hoffman in 2019. He was also part of the 4x100 relay team that took third at 42.00.
