Tyler Murphy hit .579 on the week, reaching base better than 67 percent of the time, to help lead the Cardinals to a 4-1 week, including a sweep of crosstown rival Rockhurst and the first wins over Illinois Springfield since 2013. The senior, who earned GLVC Player of the Week honors for his work, totaled 11 hits, including two home runs, to go with five RBI, and 11 runs scored. The utility player appeared in three different defensive positions, including on the hill where he earned the save against Rockhurst.
