Kresge Pool

Kresge Pool is the home of the William Jewell swimming teams and is housed in the The Mabee Center. The facility features and six-lane, 25-meter pool with attached locker rooms. In 1981, Jewell and Kregse Pool served as host of the NAIA Swimming National Championships. Most recently, the facility has received new tile on the pool surface and new HVAC system within the deck area. 

The Mabee Center is also home to the Cardinal basketball and volleyball teams and houses four recreation basketball courts, squash and racquetball courts, an indoor track, the athletic weight room and multipurpose classroom as well as the athletic offices and locker rooms, the Athletic Training Room, and the William Jewell College Athletic Hall of Fame. This large facility is a provides space for not only student-athletes but also faculty, staff and students looking to stay in shape by participating in a wide variety of fitness and recreational programs. 

The Mabee Center opened in 1980 and was spearheaded by Jewell's former President Dr. Thomas Field. Along with Dr. Field's efforts, Norris Patterson, Mike Michael, Fred Presley, John Hackworth, Rodger LaBeth, Bruce Thomson, Mike Reuck and Wayne Valentine all contributed to the efforts of bringing the Mabee Center to life on Jewell's campus. A $750,000 matching grant was given to Jewell from the Mabee Foundation of Tulsa, Oklahoma, which at the time was the largest ever given by the Mabee Foundation.
