The William Jewell College men's soccer team came away with a decisive 4-1 win over Great Lakes Valley Conference opponent University of Missouri-St. Louis in Liberty, Mo., on Friday afternoon.
The Cardinals scored their first goal 8 minutes into the game when 
Troy Green scored his fifth goal of the season off a 
Nathan Seider assist. Seconds later The Tritons tied things up when Peter Hyde knocked home an unassisted goal.  The Score remained 1-1 at the half. 
Troy Green scored his sixth goal of the season just eleven minutes into the second half on an assist by 
Cole Prather for a 2-1 Cardinal advantage.
Forrest McCurren scored two minutes later off another assist from Prather and then 
Chad Newman knocked home a goal in the 72nd minute off an assist from 
Chris Binns to push the  lead to 4-1.
Jewell outshot the Tritons 19-10 with Green having five shots and four of those on goal.

Justin Schmidt finished with four saves.
The Cardinals, 6-5 on the season will continue Great Lakes Valley Conference action against Maryville University Sunday, October 9 at 3:30 p.m. at Greene Stadium on the Jewell campus in Liberty, Mo.
