The William Jewell College men's soccer team came away with a 4-1 win over Great Lakes Valley Conference opponent Maryville University in Liberty, Mo., on Sunday afternoon.
The Cardinals scored their first goal 5 minutes into the game when
Troy Green scored his seventh goal of the season off a
Forrest McCurren assist. Green scored again 5 minutes later off a pass from
Cole Prather. The Score remained 2-0 at the half.
Green was not done yet as he scored two more second half goals to raise his season total to ten and helped put the game out of reach for Jewell. In two games this weekend Green scored 6 of the Cardinals 8 goals.
Jewell outshot the Tritons 23-7 with Green having six shots and four of those on goal.

Shane Van Hooser finished with two saves and earned his second win of 2011.
The Cardinals, 7-5 on the season will take on Truman State University on Tuesday, October 11 at 3:00 p.m. in Kirksville, Mo.
