The William Jewell College women's soccer team were stunned 3-0 on Sunday afternoon by Maryville University in a Great Lakes Valley Conference game in Liberty, Mo.   Maryville came into the contest with a 2-9 overall record and with the loss the Cardinals have now dropped two straight home games. 

The Saints scored 20 minutes into the game when Sabrina Drennan knocked home a goal off a pass from Mandy Rood.  The score remained 1-0 at halftime.

In the second half Maryville received goals from Dana Hillis and Lindsay Noble to put the game out of reach.    

The Cardinals outshot the Lady Saints 24-9 including a 9-7 advantage for shots on goal.     

The Cardinals, 6-6 on the season will take on University of Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday, October 14 at 1:15 p.m. in Somers, Wisc.
