Cards Fall 2-0 to Missouri S&T

Box Score The William Jewell College men's Soccer team fell 2-0 against Missouri S&T University on Sunday in Rolla, Mo.

After a scoreless first half, the Miners struck with their first goal in the 60th minute with a header by Spencer Brinkmeyer. Eight minutes later Trent Doerner kicked home a goal from 10 yards out to seal the win for Missouri S&T.

The Miners outshot the Cardinals 23-16 and both squads had 7 shots on goal.

The Cardinals, 2-1 on the season will continue GLVC action against Northern Kentucky University on Friday, September 16 at 7:30 p.m. in Highland Heights, Kent.
