Cards Fall to Lindenwood 2-1

Box Score The William Jewell College men's soccer team fell 2-1 to former Heart of America Confernece foe Lindenwood University on Wednesday in Liberty, Mo. The Cardinals have now lost four in a row.

The game remained scoreless until the 56th minute when Lindenwood's Frans Husbands scored an unassisted goal. Husbands struck again in the 67th minute to give the Lions a 2-0 lead. Cole Prather knocked home a goal off a pass from Forrest McCurren in the 78th minute for Jewell's only goal of the game.

The Lions outshot Jewell 10-9, including a 5-2 advantage for shots on goal.

The Cardinals, 2-4 on the season will get back to Great Lakes Valley Conference action against Kentucky Wesleyan College Friday, September 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Greene Stadium on the Jewell campus in Liberty, Mo.
