Cards Squeak By Lindenwood 1-0

The William Jewell College women's soccer team snapped a three game losing streak besting former Heart of America Conference foe Lindenwood University 1-0 Wednesday in Liberty, Mo.

The game remained scoreless until the 57th minute when Mallory Malone scored the only goal of the match.

The Cards outshot the Lady Lions 13-10 however Lindenwood led in shots on goal 4-3. Goalkeeper Kelli Sontag was credited with her second shutout of the 2011 season.

The Cardinals, 3-3 on the season will take on Kentucky Wesleyan College on Friday, September 23 at 5:00 p.m. at Greene Stadium on the Jewell campus in Liberty, Mo.
