Cardinals Dominate Southern Indiana 6-2

The William Jewell College men's soccer team dominated University of Southern Indiana 6-2 in Great Lakes Valley Conference action on Sunday afternoon in Liberty, Mo.

Ryan Squires and Forrest McCurren got the Cards on the board first with goals in the third and seventeenth minute respectively and took a 2-1 lead going into halftime. The Cardinals then poured it on in the second half scoring four more goals including two more from McCurren to earn the hat trick.

Southern Indiana outshot Jewell 16-15, but the Cards held an advantage for shots on goal at 9-8.

The Cardinals, 4-4 on the season will continue Great Lakes Valley Conference action against Quincy University Friday, September 30 at 7:30 p.m. in Quincy, Ill.
