Men's Soccer Falls in OT, 3-2

The William Jewell College Men's Soccer team fell 3-2 in overtime to #24 Quincy University on Friday night in Quincy, Ill.

Jewell's Trevor Pentola and Cole Prather scored both goals for the Cardinals. Forrest McCurren and Troy Green put up assists respectively.

Quincy's Grant Ellison notched two goals for the Hawks. Jordan Roberts scored the game-winning goal in overtime, to lift the Hawks to victory.

The Cardinals did have a halftime lead 1-0 before Ellison netted home his two goals in the second half.

Justin Schmidt made six saves in goal for Jewell.

The Cardinals return back on the field, Sunday, October 2 when they take on University of Illinois-Springfield. The game is slated for 2:30 pm.
