Jewell outshot the Cougars, 19-13, including a 9-4 advantage for shots on goal.
The Cardinals, 1-0 on the season will open up Great Lakes Valley Conference action against Drury University Friday, September 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Greene Stadium on the Jewell campus in Liberty, Mo.
