The William Jewell College men's soccer team (11-6 9-6 GLVC) fell in their regular season finale by the final score of 2-1 to the No. 6 Rockhurst University Hawks (14-2-2), Wednesday evening at Greene Stadium.   

The game could not have started any better for the Cardinals as they scored at the 13:07 mark when Forrest McCurren scored his tenth goal of the seaon.   

The Hawks were able to equalize in the 23rd minute after Kirstie Schults when Sean Verbanic found Mark Magee for a goal to tie the score 1-1.  Rockhurst would get on the board a minute later scoring an own goal of a Jewell defender which produced the final tally.

The Hawks outshot the Cardinals 13-9 and held an 8-4 advantage in corner kicks.

The Cardinals will await results to find out their GLVC Quarterfinal opponent this coming weekend.
