Cards Pick Up 1-0 Road Win at Southern Indiana

The William Jewell College men's soccer team picked up a shutout victory on Friday afternoon, scoring a 1-0 victory on the road at the University of Southern Indiana in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.

It is the sixth shutout of the season for Jewell, as they improve to 9-2-0 on the year,  and 7-2-0 in the GLVC.
Senior Zane Christenson scored the only goal of the game in the 36th minute off a pass from Sam Braverman.  It was Christenson's third goal of the season. 

Statistically, Southern Indiana outshot the Cardinals 16-14, including 12-8 in the second half half, and owned an 8-6 advantage in corner kicks.

Jewell will stay on the road the rest of the weekend, as they travel to Owensboro Kent., on Sunday for a 12:00 p.m. game against Kentucky Wesleyan College.
