Second-seeded William Jewell suffered a 1-0 loss to top-seeded Quincy in the finals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament Sunday afternoon in Quincy, Ill.  The Hawks scored the only goal of the game in the 33rd minute as Kristine Vogt got one past Jewell goalie Kelli Sontag.

The Cardinals, 15-2-3, will now await the announcement of the NCAA Division II Championships on Monday night. The Cardinals are ranked second in the latest Midwest Regional poll. The top six teams in the region earn berths in NCAA postseason competition.

The Hawks outshot Jewell 13-7 and led in corner kicks 6-4.
