The William Jewell College men's tennis team fell 7-0 to Northwest Missouri State University in their 2012 home opener on Wednesday at Clayview Country Club.
The Cardinals came out of doubles play down 3-0 as the Bearcats were able to win 8-4, 9-8, and 8-2 at No.1 , No. 2 and No. 3 doubles respectively.

Shane Giannetti lost a 6-0, 6-1 match at No. 1 singles and the Bearcats were able to clinch the match as Northwest defeated
Bryan Thomas 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2 singles.
Bronson Brassel lost a tough 6-4, 6-2 match at No. 3 singles and
Max Cooper fell 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4 singles. Due to time constraints No. 5 and No. 6 singles were unable to finish their matches.
The Cardinals, 5-2 on the season will return to action on Saturday, March 3 against University of Nebraska-Kearney at Clayview Country Club at 11:00 a.m.
