Box Score The William Jewell College men's soccer team defeated Lewis University 1-0 in Great Lakes Valley Conference action on Friday in Liberty. 

Jewell's Chris Binns scored the lone goal in the seventh minute as he drove a direct kick past Lewis goalkeeper Alec Pickett  at the 6:06 mark.

The Cards outshot the Flyers 13-4 and held a 4-2 advantage for shots on goal. 

The Cardinals (3-1 and 2-1 GLVC) continue GLVC play on Sunday as they host University of Wisconsin-Parkside at 2:30 p.m. on the Jewell campus in Liberty, Mo.
