The William Jewell College women's soccer team used the strength of two second half goals in defeating University of Wisconsin-Parkside, 2-0, on Sunday in Great Lakes Valley Conference action at Greene Stadium.  The Cardinals improve to 4-1 on the season.

After a scoreless first half, Jewell scored at the 51:19 mark on a goal by Ashley Licata from the top of the box off a pass from Sarah Franklin.  The roles were reversed in the 85^th minute as Licata found Frankling who knocked home a goal from the far left wing to seal the win

The Cardinals outshot Parkside 12-8, and Parkside led in corner kicks, 6-2. Junior goalie Kelli Sontag made two saves for the Cardinals. 

The Cardinals will travel to St. Louis, Mo., on Friday, September 21 to take on Maryville University at 2:00 p.m.
