Box Score The William Jewell College women's soccer team won an overtime thriller 2-1 against Maryville University Friday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference action. 

The visiting Cardinals scored at the 33:36 mark as Olyvia Dykes tapped home a goal off a corner kick with assists from Jade Gifford and Kate Beaver. 

Maryville tied things up at the 49:13 mark and the score would remain tied at one after regulation.  In the sixth minute of overtime, Dykes received a long pass from Ashley Licata which led to a breakaway goal to give the Cardinals the overtime win.   

Jewell finished the contest outshooting Maryville 16-8, including 7-6 in shots on goal.

Kelli Sontag played all 96 minutes in goal, recording five saves. 

Jewell improves to 5-1 overall, including 4-1 in the GLVC.  They return to action Sunday, traveling to University of Missouri-St. Louis at 12:00 p.m.
