The William Jewell College men's soccer team was defeated 2-0 at University of Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday afternoon in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match. 

The 12th minute served as the initial strike by Parkside, as the Rangers got on the board first to take an early 1-0 advantage.

Late into the second half of play, the Rangers extended their lead over Jewell, scoring their second goal in the 87th minute.

Parkside led Jewell 18-13 in shots and Jewell led 6-5 in corner kicks. 

With the loss, Jewell (5-9, 3-8 GLVC) continues its road trip, traveling to Romeoville, Ill., on October 20 for a GLVC afternoon matchup with Lewis University.  First kick is slated for 2:30 p.m.
