The William Jewell College men's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss to No. 16 University of Indianapolis in a Great Lakes Valley Conference matchup on Sunday.

UIndy would score first at the 36:38 mark off a goal by Brett Greubel.   Six minutes later the Greyhounds would score again and would go into halftime up 2-0. 

The Cardinals would score their only goal of the contest late in the second half as Chad Newman found the back the net at the 86:56 mark. 

UIndy led the Cards 12-6 in shots but Jewell held a 3-2 edge in corner kicks. 

The Cardinals, 6-10, 4-10 in the GLVC, close out the regular season on the road at Rockhurst University on Wednesday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m.
