Jewell women's soccer lost their second consecutive 1-0 road match on Sunday, dropping a Great Lakes Valley Conference match at Truman State on a breakaway goal in the 13th minute to the GLVC-leading Bulldogs (8-1-2, 7-0-1 in the GLVC).

The defeat comes on the heels of the Cards 1-0 loss at Quincy University on Friday.

Jewell (5-5-1, 3-4-1) was outshot by Truman 16-8, with five of the Truman shots on goal.  Keeper Kelli Sontag allowed the one goal and made four saves in the match; the Cardinals had shots on goal from Jade Gifford, Gabby Brooks, and Madison Allshouse.

Jewell will return home to face the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Friday night at 5:00 p.m.
