Men's soccer had a tough road trip in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, losing 3-1 to Truman State on Sunday in Kirsville, Missouri.

The Cards were beaten  of Friday night at Quincy as well, dropping to 4-7 overall and 2-6 in the GLVC.

Against Truman, the Cardinals were down 2-0 at the intermission before scoring on Drew Dempsey's third goal of the season in the 72nd minute.  The assist went to Quentin Souder on a pass to the left side of the net that Dempsey was able to flick in.

Ten minutes later, though, Truman (6-3-1, 4-3-1 in the GLVC)  put the game away with their third goal of the afternoon.

The Bulldogs took 14 shots on goal, with Jewell goalkeeper Shane Van Hooser credited with 10 saves.  The Cardinals had four shots on goal.

The Cardinals return home Friday night with a 7:30 match with the University of Missouri-St. Louis at Greene Stadium.
