The William Jewell College women's tennis team wrapped up its 2013 Spring Break trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina with an 8-1 loss to Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Friday morning.

In doubles competition, the team of Katie Eaton and Erika Schnaas defeated Kristen Stivers and Katy Lehenbauer 8-0 at No. 1 doubles, while Alanna McFail and Abby McCormick beat Hana Lindbloom and Jaimie Baker 8-2.  The Cardinals earned their only point of the dual as Loree and Conner Hazelrigg defeated Tanya Timko and Emilia Osbourne 8-4 at No. 2 doubles. 

In singles play, Eaton downed Stivers, 6-0, 7-6, and Timko beat Lindbloom, 6-1, 6-1. Drew fell to McCormick in a tough three set battle, 3-6, 7-5, 6-2, while Lehenbauer lost to Osborne, 6-3, 6-1. Loree Hazelrigg was defeated by Schnaas in a close 6-4, 7-5 match and Ranvita Mahto bested Bisesi 6-3, 6-0. 

The Cardinals (9-2) return to the courts at 2:00 p.m., on March 27 at Clayview Country Club against Rockhurst University in their Great Lakes Valley Conference opener.
