The William Jewell College women's soccer team fell at the hands of Bellarmine University by the final score of 2-0 on Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action in Louisville, Kent.  The Knights got on the board early in the second half with a goal just five minutes after halftime.  The Knights added another goal two minutes later to provide the winning margin.  With the loss, Jewell drops to 4-1-1 (0-1-1 GLVC) on the year, while Bellarmine improves to 3-3-1 (2-2-0 GLVC).

Bellarmine used a strong offensive effort outshooting the Cardinals 19-3 for the match and led 12-0 in shots on goal. 

The Cards will look to rebound on Tuesday, September 24 as they host Southwest Baptist University in non-conference action at Greene Stadium on the Jewell campus in Liberty, Mo.  Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
