The William Jewell College men's soccer team opened its 2013 campaign with a tough home test against number 13 ranked Northeastern Oklahoma State on Friday falling 4-0. The Cardinals found themselves in trouble early as they gave up a goal in minute 34 and fell behind 1-0 at the half. 

The Riverhawks struck for three more goals in the second half to provide the winning 4-0 margin.   The Cards were only able to get 4 shots off and one shot on goal.

Jewell, 0-1 hopes to get into the win column on Sunday when it plays host to Newman University.  The match is set to begin at  2:00 p.m.
