Despite 10 saves from keeper Shane Van Hooser, the William Jewell College men's soccer team was edged 2-0 on the road Friday evening at University's of Southern Indiana in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.

After a scoreless first half, the Screaming Eagles scored two goals within two minutes of each other in the second half. 

USI (5-5-1, 4-4-1 GLVC) out-shot Jewell 23-11.   They also led the Cards (2-7-3, 1-5-3 GLVC) in corner kicks 5-3.  Van Hooser had nine of his ten saves in the second half. 

Jewell remains on the road on Sunday in GLVC play as the Cards travel to Springfield, Ill., to take on University of Illinois-Springfield.   Kickoff is slated for 2:30 p.m.
